This mission will follow 3 stages, portraying how a small China-India border dispute might escalate into something... bigger.

Uzbin Valley Border Dispute

The Uzbin Valley (not to be confused with the similarly named region in Afghanistan) is a disputed sector along the Indo-Chinese border, separating India's Ladakh region from Chinese-administered Tibet. The dispute originates from differing interpretations of mountain ranges considered to form the true boundary, leaving the valley itself contested. Following India's independence in 1947, multiple skirmishes have occurred here and continue to this day.

In 2020, during heightened tensions, India established a radio outpost atop Hill 5076, located along the ridgeline India claims as its border. China, considering the site within its territory, responded by disrupting Indian logistical efforts, leading to the ongoing 2021 Uzbin Valley Crisis. Both nations subsequently constructed forward operating bases inside the valley, only a few hundred meters apart, to project control over the area. The sector remains volatile, with frequent standoffs and melee altercations between patrols.

Stage 1: "Blunt Force Diplomacy"

Chinese forces have once again begun mobilizing in Uzbin Valley, moving large numbers of personnel equipped with riot gear to their forward positions. Officially, the deployment is described as a "peacekeeping exercise," but the risk of escalation remains high. You are tasked with reinforcing Indian forces already stationed at the camp near Hill 5076. Maintain discipline and ROE, but be prepared for anything - recent encounters have escalated from shouting matches to full-blown melee brawls within minutes. Good luck.

Stages 2 and 3 will be revealed during the game, but platoon command will be informed about the planned course beforehand.
