Livonia launches a preemptive strike against Belarus and CSAT
Situation:
Tensions between Livonia and Belarus are at an all-time high. With Belarus joining the CSAT alliance they began posturing and building up forces on the border with Livonia. Being a small western-aligned country not in any alliance Livonia appears as an easy target for the now bold Belarusian Armed Forces. Only a blind monk would not see that war between the two countries is inevitable. The Livonian Defence Force are well aware that they cannot win an outright war with Belarus even less against CSAT on an even playing field on the enemy's terms.
Early Thursday morning Livonian Airborne forces conducted a preemptive airborne operation into Belarus seizing important and strategic objectives before the land forces crossed the border in an attempt to catch Belarus and CSAT unprepared and unaware. The operation was a great strategic success despite significant losses caused by Belarusian drones and air defenses. Now the land forces of Livonia must maintain the momentum and push deep before the Belarusians dig in and fortify their positions.
Briefing:
Livonian Armed Forces regular units have pushed deep into Belarus and linked up with the airborne forces that landed and seized many vital locations two days ago. To exploit the gains made by the airborne units the Livonian ground forces are launching an attack on Belarusian positions before they are able to fortify too deep.
