Background

1990s saw the nation of Chernarus go through unprecedented changes within a 5-year span. Fall of communism, birth of an unstable and questionable federation, and a failed military coup ended up with the state of Grozvya seceding from Chernarus and declaring independence.   

In order to not look weak on the political stage by 1994 Chernarus decided to bring the nation back under its “sphere of direct influence” by invading the young nation in an apparent show of force that was aimed at the western countries.   


Situation 

A month into the invasion we are in a process of surrounding the capital of Grozvya – Pecher. We are part of Group North advancing down the 2 main roads from North West. The fighting is fierce with Group West bogged down in the villages and forests, Group South exhausted on the river line and Group East fighting a guerrilla war in the hills overlooking the city. For the past week our group has been fighting over the village of Ryug-Chi. The enemy recently abandoned Ryug-Chi and is in a process of being pushed out of the northern airfield. 

Command believes that with a swift mechanized attack into the capital will force the Grozvyans to abandon all hope of continuing the fight. For a while we have been stockpiling supplies and fresh conscript reserves just arrived to aid our assault. 


Briefing 

All groups are to launch massive offensives towards the city using pre-organized armoured and mechanized convoys that are to bypass main enemy strongholds and drive into the heart of the city.   

We are going to be a second mechanized wave of Group North to enter the city from the northern highway. Your tasks are to seize key areas in the city of Pecher. Your first and main objective is the Pecher Main Government Square situated in the very middle of the city. As the name suggests it houses the main government buildings.   

Other groups will assault the Main Bus Station, Pecher School nr 2 and Pecher Hospital. Olga Complex and the Industrial zone are deemed to high risk for an assault. Depending on the situation your next objective will be to assist any group that requires aid.

If everything goes to plan we can be sure that by the start of the next day we can welcome our “lost” comrades back to our federation.   

The maps and notes containing more details should hopefully arrive to you before the start of the assault.
